Hi Everyone! My name is Emily. I am a pediatric nurse and the mother of two wonderful boys. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA (Lets go Pens!). I went to Penn State (We Are...) to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a minor in biology. I then worked at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in the Cardiology department for several years. After I had my oldest son, I decided to stay home with him. I tried to find a nursing career that not only allowed me to work from home, but also fostered my passion for pediatrics. After I discovered sleep consulting, I was immediately filled with a passion to learn more about it and help other families get the rest they need. Sleep is so incredibly important. Too many parents get into a place of, “I guess this is my life now...,” when it doesn’t have to be that way. As a sleep consultant, I will not just provide you with knowledge. I am here to SUPPORT you and your family towards a well-rested life.

The most important thing that ever could have happened to my career was becoming a mom. I have learned so much in the past two and half years. It has made me more compassionate and has increased my desire and passion for learning. When my oldest was first born, I was determined to use all my knowledge to be the best mom ever. I learned that sometimes it takes much more than knowledge to be a great mom. It takes patience (so so so much patience), kindness, strength and many other things. Combining the love I had gained for my boys, and what I already knew, I dove into research to make sure we started off on the best possible foot for sleeping, eating, behaviors, and all our other milestones. I ensured that both of them were great independent sleepers from an early age. I can tell you that a well rested mom is a happy mom. I was much more willing to wrestle, run, and dig in the dirt after sleeping eight hours versus a broken up four hours.

I wish you and your families the best and I look forward to working with you to improve your families sleep habits!
